Posicor Tied to Arrhythmia
Posicor was intended as a hypertension and chronic stable angina pectoris medication. The FDA approved Posicor despite findings from a congestive heart failure study suggesting that it might fatally disrupt heart rhythm (arrhythmia) when used with other drugs. The 2,400-patient clinical study found that 142 patients suddenly died after taking either Posicor or a placebo. The patients given Posicor died at a rate about 10% greater than those who took a comparator.
On June 8, 1998, Roche Laboratories announced they were withdrawing Posicor from the market because of the drug's risk of serious interactions with other medications. Tehre were at least 143 deaths as a result of individuals taking Posicor.

Don't Delay — The Statute of Limitations May Jeopardize Your Posicor Lawsuit
If you or a loved one has suffered a Posicor injury, contact the Law Offices of Jeff Martin. Do not delay seeking legal assistance. The statute of limitations restricts the amount of time you have to file a lawsuit. Your legal rights may be in jeopardy if you delay. You may be entitled to compensation, but a dangerous drugs lawsuit must be filed before the statute of limitations expires. It's important to take action sooner than later while witnesses' memories are fresh and evidence remains intact.
